I can’t believe that our Fall 4-day break is just a couple days away! It is unbelievable how fast time has gone by this semester. I must admit though– the four-day break ahead could not have been better timed! In between classes, thesis, and numerous extracurricular activities, I am definitely ready for a break!
During my freshman and sophomore year, I took the fall-day break to visit my family back home in the Seattle area. Last year, I visited one of my good friends’ grandparents in Idaho with a few of my other close friends from my first-year section. It was wonderful to get away from campus for a couple of days and spend quality time with my closest friends. Among other things, we spent time on a farm, visited a monastery, and took long, scenic walks while talking about life. Having never traveled to Idaho until then, the trip was even more exciting and memorable!
This year, the same group of friends and I will head to Oregon on Saturday to visit my good friend, Rachel’s family! Her family also has a cabin on the Coast where we will spend a couple of days hanging out and relaxing! I am really looking forward to spending time with my entire friend group from freshman year, mostly because it has been difficult lately to schedule a time when all of us can get together and hang out on campus. While I don’t know exactly what we plan to do on the Coast quite yet, I know it will be a lot of fun and full of adventures!
